Fight Disciples Podcast

The first EVER Heavyweight unification on British soil was spoiled by a disgraceful referee. Sadly for the fans there were more fireworks in the ringwalk than the actual contest but that is not the fault of Anthony Joshua. 21 fights in and he's still undefeated and potentially one fight away from being undisputed.

We also discuss at length the under card, Pricey rolling the dice and look forward to James Degale this weekend.

The Fight Disciples are joined in studio by Boxing England amateur coach Tony Challinor, who is currently recruiting carded teenagers nationwide for the boxing sports science course that's a gateway into the Team GB setup and pro ranks. The veteran coach also looks back over 30 years holding pads for the likes of Derry Mathews, David Burke and Tony Bellew before giving his take on former pupil heavyweight David Price's chances in Cardiff this weekend.

The torrential southern California weather couldn't dampen the spirits of the onlooking crowd as Valdez and Quigg lit the place up with a fire laden war.  A bout steeped in controversy with weigh in issues the day before needed to exceed expectation and it certainly did.

We also discuss Canelo and his dodgy meat, Mikey Garcia becoming a 4 weight champ and all this weeks fight announcements.
