While the trip to Indianapolis for the Big Ten football championship ended on a sour note, the loss to Michigan hardly dampens Iowa's season. A West Division crown and 10-3 over-all record has the Hawkeyes playing New Year's Day against Kentucky in the Citrus Bowl at Orlando. There was an interesting sidebar to the Hawkeyes and Wolverines. Both head coaches, Kirk Ferentz and Jim Harbaugh were hired by former Iowa's AD Bob Bowlsby.
