Iowa basketball Coach Fran McCaffery's staff, long one of the most veteran, experienced crew of teachers has gotten significantly younger but remains very basketball savvy. 41 year old Courtney Eldridge and Matt Gatens age 33 have been hired to fill the vacancies created by Kirk Speraw's retirement and Billy Taylor's head coaching appointment at Elon College in North Carolina. Both Eldridge and Gatens were great players in Fran McCaffery's system.
