Iowa basketball's 1st year director of player development and recruiting, Tristan Spurlock, grew up on the east coast, is a former Mr. Virginia basketball after averaging 23 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocked shots. With a line like that Spurlock was offered a scholarship with the Virginia Cavaliers and coach Tony Bennett before transferring to Central Florida where he averaged 10 points and 5 boards.
