Today David offers a second way in which he believes a number of Christians have lost touch with Christ when it comes to politics, law, and public policy. It shocked the Pharisees of old, and it will probably shock the political pharisees among today's Christians. Find out what it is.
This is our 100th riff session! To celebrate, we're including this sentence announcing our 100th riff session!
The conversation starts with an unexpectedly serious debate over the difference between tin whistles, recorders, and the people who insist on using the correct musical terminology, revealing that musicians have an entire vocabulary devoted to preventing anyone from casually calling the wrong instrument a flute. That attention to detail quickly collides with stories about orchestras, concert etiquette, and the realization that some instruments carry far more cultural prestige than others, despite all of them ultimately requiring someone to blow into them.
From there, the focus shifts behind the curtain of television and concert auditions, where the advertised search for raw talent turns out to involve a surprising amount of pre-screening, strategic casting, and carefully managed storytelling.
Then into memories of buying concert tickets before everything moved online. Waiting in line becomes its own form of live theater, producing strange conversations, questionable life decisions, and the shared optimism that standing outside for hours is perfectly reasonable if it eventually leads to decent seats. The same perspective extends to modern stage productions, where even legendary bands rely on lighting, effects, and carefully engineered spectacle that is seems to treat music as kind of an afterthought.
The discussion eventually drifts back to childhood, when entertainment required little more than a box containing pickup sticks, a Spirograph, or some other object that encouraged creativity instead of software updates. Those toys become reminders that entire afternoons could disappear without batteries, Wi-Fi, or downloadable content, even if the rules occasionally ended with someone insisting everyone else was playing incorrectly.
What did early American Presbyterians believe about religious liberty, the Constitution, and Christian government?
In this episode of The Magistrate, James Baird is joined by John "Saint Something" St Martin to explore the forgotten history of the Christian Amendment movement. Together they examine why many influential Presbyterians believed the U.S. Constitution should explicitly acknowledge God, Jesus Christ, and the authority of Scripture.
The conversation covers Thomas Jefferson's views of Presbyterians, the National Reform Association, Old Princeton theology, the Westminster Standards, liberty of conscience, Christian education, immigration, and what these debates can teach the Church today.
Was this movement a forgotten chapter of American history—or a vision worth revisiting?

Why has Ella Langley's hit song "Choosin' Texas" captured so much attention?
In this episode of Richard Reacts, Richard Henry examines the cultural conversation surrounding the viral country hit before asking a bigger question: Why have we become so comfortable with mediocrity?
Drawing from Ecclesiastes 9, Colossians 3, and Philippians 3, Richard challenges Christians to pursue excellence in every area of life—not to earn God's favor, but as an act of faithful obedience.
Whether in work, family, or ministry, believers are called to serve Christ wholeheartedly rather than settling for "good enough."
Scripture:
• Ecclesiastes 9
• Colossians 3
• Philippians 3

Is accountability finally coming for Dr. Anthony Fauci? On this episode of The Sentinel Report, Alex Newman examines the growing fallout from Fauci's recent testimony, the latest developments in the push for COVID accountability, and why the consequences of the pandemic response continue to shape America and the world.
In the news, Alex also covers major international developments, including the escalating migration invasion in Spain and rising tensions involving Iran, Israel, and the broader Middle East. Plus, we dive into stories the mainstream media intentionally covers up.
Joining the program is Dr. Robert Malone, member of the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, to discuss the latest revelations surrounding Dr. Fauci, public health policy, and what Americans should expect next.
Then, John Leake, author of Focal Points with Dr. Peter McCullough, explains why the questions surrounding Fauci and the government's COVID response remain critically important—and why accountability still matters.
Finally, C.R. Wiley, author of Manmade: Saint Anthony's Guide to Surviving the AI Apocalypse, joins the show to examine the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and why Christians should be thinking carefully about its spiritual, cultural, and societal implications.
