Ryan Hale is lucky to be alive much less on this podcast. I tried for months to lock down a time where I could hear and share Ryan's story. Like many of us in active recovery, the road to sobriety is bumpy. There is no easy road or short cut to sobriety.
Ryan had to find this out the hard way. As a senior in high school, he was clean and had never experimented with drugs or alcohol. While at the top of his game as a football star, Ryan was involved in a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision. He was struck and thrown from his bike. As he hobbled out of the road to avoid being run over, Ryan knew that he had sustained a serious leg injury.
Ryan felt lost and frustrated after the accident. Ryan was invited to a party by one of his friends and asked to bring with him his "Pain Pills." This was the first time in his life that he experienced prescription drugs and "being high."
Ryan's life, suddenly took a turn when he became addicted to the lifestyle, the drugs and the chaos. This is an episode you do not want to miss. Ryan shares intimate details of an incident that occurred where a mans life was taken in the pursuit for money and drugs.
Ryan stands as a testimony of the recovery process. Ryan spent much of his young adult life in and out of rehab. After attending 15 rehabs, detoxing over 30 times, living in two sober livings, being homeless and travelling to Mexico for additional treatment, Ryan decided to fight! He decided it was time to live out loud, to get sober.
Ryan just hit his second year clean and sober. Take a ride with us and listen to the steps he took to get sober.
Please share this with your friends and family. This episode will save a life and give hope to all those struggling in addiction and in recovery.
