Film Forecast

This week we ponder a simple question: Will we save our friends or save the world? We come to the conclusion as we run our way through the final installment of the Maze Runner trilogy. What will Thomas do? Is Aiden Gillen the new Sean Bean? WTF is formicophilia? Will Chris D'elia save the day? We answer this and more.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure is in theatres on January 26 and stars: Dylan O'Brien, Rosa Salazar, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Kaya Scodelario, Aiden Gillen, Patricia Clarkson and more.

We got one final job, then we're done forever; we're heading into the Den of Thieves. This week we forecast the new Gerard Butler and 50 Cent heist flick. Who will win, bad guys or good guys? Who is the mole? When will Andy Dufresne show up? Will Kevin win a Golden Globe? We answer this and more.

Den of Thieves releases in theatres on January 19, it stars: Gerard Butler, Pablo Schreiber, O'Shea Jackson Jr, 50 Cent and more.

All aboard! This week we're joining Liam Neeson for Taken on a Train aka The Commuter, and we're figuring out how he'll save the day. Spoiler Alert: He definitely saves the day. Is this just a prequel to the Breaking Bad spin-off Mike's in Town? Will this be the Citizen Kane of our times? Can a Samsung win best supporting actor? We answer this and more.

The Commuter is out in theaters on January 12 and stars: Liam Neeson, Liam Neeson's cellphone, Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Jonathan Banks, Sam Neill and Elizabeth McGovern.

Kevin is officially done with all the fake BS in 2018 and things get a little darker from there this week as we ring in the New Year with season 4 of the BBC show/Netflix original Black Mirror. What if you knew how long a relationship would last? Will the rich own the right to knowledge? Is defeating death a good thing to do? We told you it gets dark.

Black Mirror season 4 comes to Netflix December 29, 2017.

In our first ever Holiday Extravaganza we head to a wooded, dark bar to take a look at our Holiday Film Faves. For both guys, it's all about that nostalgia factor. We also answer, what is the greatest holiday film of all time? Thanks to a bracket done by our listeners we have a definitive answer. And we spread Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear.

We're back pitches, and we're bringing some Bellas with us! This week we're riffing on Pitch Perfect 3. Kevin's doing some Inception-style forecasting, having only seen trailers of the first two films. Will Fat Amy say any fat jokes? Which fast food restaurant is most aca-ceptable? Is this the final Pitch? Will Dj Khaled save the day? We answer this and more.

Pitch Perfect 3 is in theatres December 22 and stars:

Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Ruby Rose, Elizabeth Banks, Anna Camp, Hailee Standfield, Alexis Knapp and DJ Khaled.

Welcome to the Greatest Podcast on Earth! We will dazzle you with our goofs. You will be amazed by our rants! You'll pass out during our interview with two of the greatest Circusboys of all time, Barnum and Bailey as we talk to them about the new musical The Greatest Showman with Gene Hackman/Huge Jacked Man. Why was this made? Is there any truth to the story? Where's Bailey? Have you ever drank Bailey's from a shoe? We answer this and more.

The Greatest Showman releases December 20 and stars Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams, Zac Efron, Zendaya, Keala Settle and Rebecca Ferguson

It's time for a Film Forecast Follow-up we head into the Nether for a chat about what we loved in this season and also what we didn't love so much. We spend a lot of time talking about our love/hate of Billy. Our new hero Bob the Brain. How terrible episode seven was. And how talented all of the child actors are in this show.

We also have a 17 minute run about dinner and a movie and how that will become like an ironic/iconic date to do in the near future. If you want to get to the Stranger Things 2 bit, jump ahead 17 minutes or so.

How do we get a giant bottle of Absolut? How did Matt Damon become a server and start working in a call center? Is this a documentary? We answer this and more.

Downsizing releases in theatres on December 22.  It is directed by Alexander Payne and stars: Matt Damon, Kristen Wiig, Jason Sudeikis, Hong Chau, Christoph Waltz and Maribeth Monroe.
