Gavin FitzGerald

Gavin is an IFTA-nominated film director whose slate of internationally acclaimed documentaries and television series has established him as a leading Irish voice in factual storytelling. His work often explores compelling sporting worlds and subcultures, driven by exceptional characters and crafted with a cinematic, intimate style. He began his career directing commercially successful, access-driven feature documentaries including Conor McGregor: Notorious and Liam Gallagher: As It Was, both of which went on to be acquired by Netflix. He followed these with the award-winning festival favourite Million Dollar Pigeons and a four-part boxing series Stable: The Boxing Game, later acquired by BBC. He is currently completing Soul of the Sea, an Irish-language documentary about a declining rowing tradition in the west of Ireland, supported by Screen Ireland and TG4. His latest feature, LOMU, explores the complexities of identity and Tongan culture through the life of one of rugby’s most iconic figures, Jonah Lomu, and is currently screening at festivals worldwide.

Jamie D’Alton

Co-Founder and Managing Director of Diffusion Media, Jamie D’Alton is an Emmy-winning producer. D’Alton played a pivotal role in developing projects including the Netflix documentary feature The Deepest Breath and Conor McGregor: Notorious, the highest-grossing Irish documentary of all time. He established Diffusion after nearly 20 years as co-owner and joint Managing Director of Motive Television. D’Alton has executive produced and directed some of Ireland’s highest-rated TV shows, including DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland and Special Forces: Ultimate Hell Week, as well as IFTA-winning films I Am Immigrant and Man on a Mission.

Stephen is a director and novelist born and raised in Dublin. He studied film at the Dublin Institute of Technology before making short documentaries on aspects of The Troubles, including After 68 (1994) and 81 (1996). His feature film Maze (2017) dramatises the 1983 escape of 38 IRA prisoners from Maze Prison. Burke has since transitioned to novel writing.

Niamh holds a degree in Drama and Film from Trinity College Dublin and furthered her training at the Gaiety School of Acting. She worked as an actor for several years and founded her own theatre company, building a strong foundation in performance and storytelling.

Alongside her acting career, Niamh has trained in Shotokan karate since the age of five, achieving a 5th Dan. Her background in martial arts led naturally into stage combat, where an instructor encouraged her to pursue stunt work—an idea that immediately resonated. The combination of performance and physicality proved a perfect fit.

Since then, she has continued to expand her skill set, embracing the ongoing training required in the stunt industry. A standout moment in her career was performing a full fire burn during the finale of Season 2 of Vikings: Valhalla, leaping from a burning boat into the water on cue—an intense and unforgettable experience.

His work has received ‘Best Editing’ recognition from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), The Royal Television Society (RTS) and the American Cinema Editors (A.C.E.). He is English by birth and resides in Ireland where he is married to filmmaker Emer Reynolds.

Mark Sheridan

Known for his brave ideas and strong visual sense, he started making short films in 2006 and went on to direct a number of films including his first feature length film Crone Wood (2016).

A self professed lover of horror and the supernatural, he has repeatedly stated his desire to bring back intelligent story driven horror that is filled with suspense and tension, populated by relatable characters and grounded in true drama.

Along with his own films he has edited films for award winning filmmakers such as Oscar-nominated director Juanita Wilson and IFTA award winner Rebecca Daly. He also served as cinematographer on Take the Boat, a feature length french documentary on abortion rights in Ireland. The film was narrated by Catherine Deneuve, broadcast on Public Senat and screened internationally by Amnesty International.
