We are nearly at the half way month for January, the nights are long, the days short and there is a distinct lack of festive lights. This can be a tricky time to keep going with the new years resolutions you may have set, or the ambitious goals you decided for yourself and now your whole ability to focus on what you set out to do can start to feel a little less enthusiastic than how you felt when you first started. And that is completely normal.
In this solo episode I’ll be sharing you some goal setting tips that work for me and I hope that it can inspire and help you set out your purpose driven goals. Enjoy tuning in!
Key Takeaways
Write down the intentions you have for the 12 months ahead. By writing down your intentions acts as an accountability tool. You can also write a letter to your future self, do it from the perspective of celebrating and congratulating yourself of the fact that you have achieved your goals for the year.
When we connect emotionally to our intentions and to the goals that we are setting, it is then that we create the real desire around what we're doing, and on why you were doing it. And it becomes something we want to move towards instead of trying to move away from.
Try to do new things. By discovering and trying something new moves you out of your comfort zone and allows you to see the art of possible.
Connect with yourself and vive yourself time to reflect. Ask yourself and answer with whole honesty – What am I doing? Why am I doing it? What is the result I want? And where are the gaps that stop me from getting what I want?
If you are feeling you're being pulled in all sorts of directions at the moment with regards to resolutions and goal setting, and words of the year, etc. What I would suggest right now is to just stop, take a deep breath, and just be you. Because when we are acting in complete integrity in who we are, then we have a much greater ability to work out what is right for us, and what isn't right for us.
As you set out your goals for the year, do it all in a position of gratitude. Recognise the opportunity to create more of what you want, to not judge and be kind to yourself in whatever point in your journey you find yourself at the moment. Just stop, take a deep breath and just be you. The best gift to give yourself is to be the best you that it's possible to be.

In today’s first episode of the podcast for 2023, I am joined by David Charlton. David is a Sports Psychologist who helps athletes, coaches and teams of all levels, from the motivated and talented youngster up to the experienced professional who competes internationally.
Typically, his clients are looking to perform more consistently in their chosen sport and deal with the pressures that
they face better. David supports them by developing their Mental Toughness using evidence based tools from sport and organisational psychology alongside personal insights. As well, as working in sport he also enjoys supporting senior leaders, entrepreneurs and business professionals to deal better with the pressures and stressors that they face in their lives and work.
Key Takeaways
Comparing yourself to others, being jealous of other people’s successes and feeling resentful traps you from really seeing and assessing the particular path you are on. These strong emotions hinder you from taking action to reach the next step.
Going through the process of self awareness is challenging, painful and uncomfortable. But when you break through, that is where change starts.
Even elite and successful sports people and successful entrepreneurs have to break down the boring, and simple things day in day out.
A lot of sports people tie their identify, their self value, and self worth to their performance and that is not a good combination. That’s why it’s important to find different avenues outside of sports.
There are three basic psychological needs: autonomy, relatedness and competence. In building a business, it’s okay to recognise that you don’t have to be good at everything, that it’s important to accept that strength cannot lie in all the fields.
A good leader knows how to delegate. And by delegating you empower other people as well.
The best thing that you can do is charge based on the results you were bringing for your clients. Because those people who value what you're doing, they will do the work, they will get the results. And they'll thank you for the part that you play in helping them to get the results.

Here we are in that time between Christmas and New Year….an ideal time perhaps to reflect on what has been, and look forward to all that is to come. In this solo episode I reflect on how the last 12 months has gone and here I share journal exercises which I hope you will find useful as the new year comes. Enjoy tuning in!
Key Takeaways
A holistic exercise, create two columns labelling one for personal life and the other for business life. And from each perspective, reflect what has worked well and what has not worked well over the last 12 months. We tend to learn more from hard lessons, those things that haven't worked, than we do from the things that worked well. It’s important to consider what was learned from those things because it will allow us to be better and create better experiences moving forward.
Ask yourself, “Who do I need to become in order to grow the business in the way that I want to in 2023?” It’s all about stepping into the next version of ourselves as we grow and as we get older. Asking yourself important questions on a regular basis is vital.
Here’s a brilliant accountability tool – write to your future self and congratulate yourself on everything you are going to achieve for the next 12 months, it sets your intention for the year.
Set your financial goals for the year. Money loves a purpose. What is important is the emotional connection behind that financial goal. Because the goal is not the money. The money is just the enabler. What’s vital is the memories and experiences you create with the people that matter to you.
Here are some prompts from Tony Robbins which my friend Matt Thompsett introduced to me to which focus on the here and now. The morning power questions – What am I happy about now in my life? What am I excited about in my life now? What am I right about in my life now? What am I grateful about in my life now? What am I enjoying in my life right now? What am I committed to in my life right now? Who do I love? Who loves me? And the evening power questions – What have I given today? What did I learn today, and what will I investment in tomorrow?

So here we are just a few days before Christmas and I bring my Christmas gift to you, with the guest I have today. Kathleen Cameron is a Manifestation Queen, Success Coach, 7 figure entrepreneur and record breaking author. Since 2019, she has built a $20 million business and continues to share her knowledge, passion and expertise with everyone she connects with.
With her determination, unwavering faith and powers of manifestation, she has helped hundreds of thousands of people attract more love, money and success into their lives.
Kathleen is a mother of two wonderful daughters, graduated with two undergraduate degrees and a Master’s degree, has held high level executive position in healthcare and transferred her knowledge to so many in a way that brings everyone’s vibration up alongside hers. To be in Kathleen’s energy is just amazing, and I hope through the power of the airways, you get to all experience that energy with me today.
Key Takeaways
Investing in yourself through personal development and having a mentor will help you recognise what your limitations are and the beliefs that hold you back. Thus will allow you to take intentional actions to empower and catalyse change.
Having a burning desire for more means really wanting something that anchors you to see yourself differently and do something differently. And because you truly desiring something, you see that it is possible for you. That burning desire makes you take ownership, responsibility and willingness in that belief and take action to achieve it.
Our thoughts create our feelings, and they create our actions. Our body moves according to our thinking.
Real magic starts to happen when you see and believe in something outside of the intellectual mind and physical body, and that is called the spiritual plane.
Manifestations show if you have faith in it. And evidence of prosperity and abundance show up when you deeply and truly connect with your oneness.
Move into the creative plane, to the realm of the possible and ask yourself; how much better can my life get and how much more of that better am I going to allow in by focusing on it versus the worries, the fears, the doubts?
Think nothing but abundance and prosperity. It is getting out of judgment and moving into gratitude. It is being inspired instead of being hopeless. It is literally taking action with faith. Success is faith expressed in action. And always operate on a place of joy, love, gratitude and peace.
The energy that you put out the energy, and the energy that you are in, is what you get back.

Christmas is just around the corner. In this episode, I share my thoughts on how to have a great Christmas, where the focus is on the people’s presence and not the presents.
I've always been somebody who absolutely loves the festive season, and all that it has to offer. I cannot wait every year for the first of December to arrive so I can start to put up the decorations. Christmas to me is not about the presents. Yes, gifts are lovely to give and to receive. But to me Christmas has always been about the presence of those I love being around me and to me it is what makes the festive season so special.
Key Takeaways
Research has shown this year that, only 1 out of 7 items in the Black Friday sale were actually at a higher price for any length of time prior to the sale. Saving is only a saving if you intended to purchase the previously more expensive item anyway.
It's always important to question your decisions around money to actually be intentional about how you spend money, and not make decisions emotionally, irrationally, or out of a sense of misplaced guilt, or pressure.
Christmas is a time of year when we want everything to be perfect. And by having that expectation, we're setting ourselves up for a fall. But at the end of the day, It's not how much money you spend, or the presents you get your loved ones. But instead how much love, joy and memory making you can spread through your actions. It's a time to be with friends and family and to enjoy each other's company.
Make a Christmas commitment, something that you want to start doing now. Write it down on a piece of paper and place it in a prominent position on your Christmas tree. It will act as a reminder of the commitment you'll have made.
The most important thing in this season is the memories and the time spent together than what present was or wasn't bought.

In this last episode in this celebratory mini-series of the podcast, my guest is Charlie Mullins OBE.
Charlie is known as Britain's flushest tradesman and the celebrated founder of the celebrated Pimlico Plumbers. Last year, in search of new beginnings he sold his business for a cool £145m.
Now the man who was once a former business advisor to David Cameron and George Osborne, is a columnist in the Star newspaper and a talking head for broadcast media on business and political affairs.
Since selling his business, Charlie has invested in and become the chairman of Great British Radio - a radio station without any (bad) news bulletins designed to cheer up the nation with its roster of comedy, music and celebrity interviews. He has further expanded his property portfolio and invested in the musical career of his fiancée - the singer songwriter RaRa, who is about to release her debut album.
Key Takeaways
For Charlie, there is a good side and down side about making lots of money. Good, you can do what you want. The downside side, you can lose a lot friends and family.
It’s important to get apprenticeship at a very young age. We all learn from somebody and starting young is the best time to learn.
What helped Charlie transition from being a plumber to a successful business owner, was learning to employ the right people and delegating responsibilities correctly. It’s not easy to delegate, but it’s all part of making money and growing your business.
Another great tip Charlie shared is incentivise people that work for you. They’ll feel valued. They will value you, what they do, their clients, and the service that they're getting, which builds up the company reputation, and allows that whole circle to continue.
Money doesn't make make you. It only changes you if you allow it to change you.
It’s important to seek the evidence of what you want to achieve.
Opportunities are out there. You can’t expect to earn great money if you’re not putting yourself out there. Be visible and work hard, it’s one of the ingredients of being successful.
