In today’s episode #77 of Let’s Talk Money and More Podcast I talk with Paula Eddy, Leadership Coach and founder of On Point Leadership and host of the Game of Leadership®, the Podcast for Curious Leaders. Paula has almost 30 years’ experience in Corporate and has used that expertise to support clients including AstraZeneca, Bristol Myers Squibb, Microsoft, Iqvia, Red Hat, Capita and Vontobel.
Paula helps her clients by empowering them to achieve the things they want in life, by helping them reach their goals in a way that really resonates with them, through coaching and programmes that are right for the individual or team. And by pinpointing their purpose and transforming their mindset.
Paula and I had a really insightful conversation about her own money story, her parenting, her philosophies, and a whole lot more. Enjoy tuning in!
Key Takeaways
By instilling a sense of value and sense of self worth at such young age allows for a positive money story to cultivate.
The experiences that we have make us who we are today.
A great leader is all abut inclusivity and flexibility. Meeting people where they're at, and being able to help them show up as their best.
As a leader you should create a psychological safety for your team. Giving them the safe space to show up and feel safe to be themselves.

Having the right strategy in place to achieve what you want for your business and life, then taking action consistently is of course the way to make it happen. But by being future focussed, this also creates the right mindset, to help you keep going when the going gets tough.

Join Adam and I as he share his money story, his experiences and all the wisdom he learned along his journey towards where he is at today. Key Takeaways
Spend less time worrying about money, take intentional actions to generate it, do a great job for people and serve them the best way you can then the more money will flow.
Be around an environment of winners. Be around people who do it in a higher level. It helps set your mindset, your benchmark and definitely changes your dynamics.
Celebrate other people’s success and analyse their success.
Be mindful of what you consume. Feed your mind with things that are positive and happy; things that inspire you, motivate you and help you grow.
Belief comes before the skill. You have to be successful in your mind before you ever going to be successful. It might be a journey. It might take me some time. And it might definitely feel uncomfortable but you’ve got to do it anyway and commit to achieve the success you want.

Key Takeaways
Our health and well being is wealth. Wealth is also about freedom. Money is an enabler and it gives us freedom choices, it allows us to support the future we want as well as the people who matter to us.
Wealth is available to everybody. Believe in that and hold on to it, plan and put action into place to create that wealth but also recognise that there isn’t one way to get there but several. Be intentional with the actions you are taking. Even more importantly, be aware of your limiting factors.
Money is emotive. And when we are in certain situations we respond to those emotions, have knee jerk reactions and make us feel a whole raft of different emotions.
Our relationship with money, how we spend, how we save, and utilise money can be very different to somebody else. That’s why it is important to have self awareness and deep understanding towards our relationship with money.
You are your greatest investment.
Believe in yourself and believe in your capability and accepting that it really is you who makes the choices about what you go for. Your integrity and authenticity builds relationship and trust with people. When you work hard and prove you are capable people will invest in you.

We are nearly at the half way month for January, the nights are long, the days short and there is a distinct lack of festive lights. This can be a tricky time to keep going with the new years resolutions you may have set, or the ambitious goals you decided for yourself and now your whole ability to focus on what you set out to do can start to feel a little less enthusiastic than how you felt when you first started. And that is completely normal.
In this solo episode I’ll be sharing you some goal setting tips that work for me and I hope that it can inspire and help you set out your purpose driven goals. Enjoy tuning in!
Key Takeaways
Write down the intentions you have for the 12 months ahead. By writing down your intentions acts as an accountability tool. You can also write a letter to your future self, do it from the perspective of celebrating and congratulating yourself of the fact that you have achieved your goals for the year.
When we connect emotionally to our intentions and to the goals that we are setting, it is then that we create the real desire around what we're doing, and on why you were doing it. And it becomes something we want to move towards instead of trying to move away from.
Try to do new things. By discovering and trying something new moves you out of your comfort zone and allows you to see the art of possible.
Connect with yourself and vive yourself time to reflect. Ask yourself and answer with whole honesty – What am I doing? Why am I doing it? What is the result I want? And where are the gaps that stop me from getting what I want?
If you are feeling you're being pulled in all sorts of directions at the moment with regards to resolutions and goal setting, and words of the year, etc. What I would suggest right now is to just stop, take a deep breath, and just be you. Because when we are acting in complete integrity in who we are, then we have a much greater ability to work out what is right for us, and what isn't right for us.
As you set out your goals for the year, do it all in a position of gratitude. Recognise the opportunity to create more of what you want, to not judge and be kind to yourself in whatever point in your journey you find yourself at the moment. Just stop, take a deep breath and just be you. The best gift to give yourself is to be the best you that it's possible to be.
