Worried about paying for college for your kids? Imagine if they not only had school fully paid for but graduated with a nest egg already in place.
Chris shares how his Debt Free Degree Triangle makes this possible.
About our guest:
Chris Corinthian has worked for over 15 years in higher education in the areas of financial aid and financial literacy. After working with thousands of students, he realized that there were specific steps that students did to receive multiple scholarships and graduate debt-free.
Unfortunately, there were also students who did not know this information and dropped out of school because they did not have enough money to complete college. Chris is on a mission to stop the national student loan debt from rising by showing students the blueprint to not only graduate debt-free but also show them how they can have money in the bank when they walk across that stage at graduation.
Through teaching the principles of financial literacy, he walks high school students and current college students through a three-step framework on how to “find the money, budget the money, and grow the money” to pay for school.

I'll explain how any earned income can go into a retirement account and the benefits of starting early. Plus, I'll share some tips on how to manage these accounts and why a Roth IRA is such a powerful tool for your child's future.

EXTENDED IDR WAIVER DEADLINE: June 30, 2024
Our friends over at Student Loan Planner are the experts in all things student loans and they wanted us to share with you about the extended IDR waiver deadline which is now June 30, 2024.
Millions of borrowers could see their entire balances wiped away completely, including you.
The income-driven repayment (IDR) waiver is a one-time account adjustment that was implemented by the Biden Administration and it is a BIG DEAL!
Any time you've spent in repayment and many periods of forbearance or deferment can now be counted toward the 10-year Public Service Loan Forgiveness and 20- or 25-year IDR forgiveness programs.
To qualify, many borrowers may need to consolidate their loans by the Administration's NEW deadline June 30, 2024.
You can take action on your own, but if you want to discuss your student loan situation with a professional CFP® or CSLP to make sure you’re picking the best option for you, we highly recommend Student Loan Planner!

We are joined by our guest Bill Yount of Catching Up to FI, for a compelling conversation about the diverse and impactful stories of individuals who have achieved financial independence. We discuss the power of storytelling and vulnerability in creating a strong community that supports and inspires each other on their financial journeys and the significance of changing one's circle of influence to surround oneself with like-minded individuals who share similar goals and aspirations. From overcoming emotional overwhelm to taking actionable steps towards financial freedom, we hope you'll gain valuable lessons on building interpersonal wealth, finding strength in vulnerability, and the transformative impact of a generous and supportive financial community. Join this dynamic podcast to catch up to FI together and be financially intentional on your path to success.
About our guest:
Bill Yount is a practicing Emergency Physician, happily married with fraternal twin boys. He is a late-starter who woke up to Financial Independence at 50. Bill lived largely in a paycheck-to-paycheck existence in the rat race, on the hedonic treadmill, spending first and saved last. He knew largely nothing about investing and personal finance and it seemed like he made most mistakes in the financial book. Waking up was painful, full of what-if regrets and shame. Recovery has been hard but very rewarding. Bill's mission is to help other late starters start now and get others to start as early as possible on their individual journeys to financial independence. Money is a powerful tool and about mindset, mechanics, and life. We all deserve to live a balanced life of financial freedom and time abundance.
You can also find Bill at Catching up to FI and Financial Literacy Project.
