Human body is a masterpiece crafted by nature over millions of years, equipped with a remarkable and intricate system of muscles, joints, and bones all designed to work in harmony for one fundamental purpose - Movement.
But In our fast-paced, technology-driven world, It's no secret that our sedentary lifestyles have become the norm. Many of us spend hours each day sitting at desks, hunched over screens, or commuting in vehicles that whisk us away with minimal effort on our part. We've become prisoners of convenience, and our bodies are paying the price.
But, There's hope, and it lies in understanding the marvel of our bodies and making intentional choices to regain our movement capacity. Which is exactly what today’s episode is about.
Welcome to episode 29.
in this episode I speak with Dr D.M.Manoj who has over 22 years of experience as a physiotherapist in the field of musculoskeletal and sports injuries. He is the Founder and Director at Physio Active-The Wellness Hub based out of Gurgaon.
Previously, he was the head of Physiotherapy Department at Artemis. He was also the Physiotherapist of the ‘Indian Women’s Hockey team’ for the 15th Asian games,
He has also worked with ‘Indian Tennis Association – both Men and Women, and National Martial Arts team’.
He has also won a ton of awards, but I’m pretty sure this is already enough for us to know that he’s a subject matter expert.
In this episode, we discussed why injuries happen, what are the best ways to clear lactate post run, what are ideal recovery protocols, what are some of the habits we must stop immediately, how can we protect our spine, how to avoid injures, how to cross train, and we briefly touched upon back pain and sciatica nerve pain.
So, whether you're an athlete looking to optimize your performance, or someone seeking relief from chronic pain, or you’re simply curious about how movement can transform your life, this episode is for you.
