Number 1 - Keeping your promises!
Keeping promises to oneself is the cornerstone of building self-reliance and integrity. It's about aligning our actions with our aspirations, fostering deep self-respect and reliability in our journey.
Are you holding yourself to your word? Are you doing the things you say you are going to do? Or do you come up with excuses and not follow through with your plans, your goals and dreams?
This could look like say planning out your meal plan then going rogue and not sticking to the plan, not moving your body and then saying “oh well I’ll try again next week” only to see the same thing happen the next week.
Your unconscious mind remembers this right, and what happens when this pattern or similar patterns of you breaking trust with yourself over and over again, what happens is that it creates the imprint in your unconscious mind that you cannot trust you!
When you honor the promises you make to yourself, you reinforce your sense of self-integrity. It builds trust within yourself, affirming that you're reliable and committed to your own well-being and goals.
Number 2 - Consistency!
Consistency is the key to success in all things.
Maintaining consistency requires dedication and prioritizing our well-being, our goals, and the direction we want our life to go.
It's about showing up for ourselves, and nurturing sustainable habits that propel us toward our goals."
It's the engine that drives progress and reinforces your belief in your own capabilities, leading to the cultivation of self-trust.
What does that look like? It might be creating consistency in your habits and routines, waking early in the morning, creating a consistent exercise routine.
Consistency really is the bridge between our intentions and our actions.
Number 3 - Self awareness
Self-awareness plays a crucial role in learning to trust yourself because it involves understanding your thoughts, emotions, strengths, weaknesses, and values.
By being self-aware, you can observe patterns in your behavior, thoughts, and decision-making process. This understanding helps you evaluate whether these patterns positively or negatively affect your ability to trust yourself.
When you understand yourself better, you gain confidence in your own abilities and judgments. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses enables you to trust your strengths while working on improving areas where you may lack confidence.
Overall, self-awareness allows you to navigate life's challenges, make decisions confidently, and maintain a strong sense of authenticity and integrity in your actions and choices.
Number 4 - Setting intentions really is about using our intent as a means to guide our path. By setting clear intentions, we direct our focus and energy towards what truly matters. Intentions align our thoughts and actions with the future we envision, and we align with the future outcome we envision we are cultivating self-trust every step of the way.
Every day I set my intentions, whether I’m working at home, having a meeting, recording a podcast, planning a holiday, meeting a friend for lunch, I set my intent.
It’s a powerful process that I’ve embraced that has cultivated the deepest self trust that honestly took me 46 years to finally grasp.
Remember, self-trust is an ongoing commitment.
Start small, be patient with yourself, and celebrate your progress along the way.

Today I have another very special guest with me, all the way from Alberta, Canada. Mahara is a published author, motivational speaker, certified mastery method coach, and she is passionate about helping women create their best life through her writing, online group programs, one-on-one coaching, and her very own podcast, The Art of Badassery.
In this episode, Mahara shares her inspiring journey from the corporate world to her life as an entrepreneur, offering valuable insights, challenges, and the importance of self-discovery.
Here are some key takeaways from her insights:
Be the CEO of Your Life: Mahara emphasizes that you are the perfect person to take charge of your life. Embrace the idea that you can shape your destiny, even if it involves messy and imperfect steps.
Align with Your Core Values: When setting goals, ensure they align with your core values and your desired lifestyle. Goals that resonate with your values are more likely to lead to genuine fulfillment.
Don't Fear Change: Mahara believes in the power of pivoting. If a goal no longer serves you or aligns with your journey, don't be afraid to change it. Your goals should adapt to your evolving path.
Seek Community and Support: Building your best life doesn't happen in isolation. Mahara highlights the significance of connecting with others, whether through coaching, mentoring, or seeking advice from those who have walked a similar path.
The Power of Messy, Imperfect Action: Sometimes, we get caught up in the pursuit of perfection. Mahara reminds us that perfection is a story we tell ourselves, and embracing messy, imperfect action is often the key to progress.

In this episode, let's discuss the power of taking action. We're diving into how planning and thinking alone are not enough to drive success and change in one's life. I also share personal experiences of getting stuck in the planning stage and highlight common barriers to taking action, including the fear of failure and perfectionism. We're also talking about fear of success and how it can manifest as self-sabotage when one approaches their upper limits of what they believe is possible.
To move forward and take action, I list suggestions like addressing underlying blocks, showing up as your future self, and consistently taking aligned action. Let's all break free from feeling stuck and create transformation in our lives.
I also have an exciting announcement about my upcoming Aligned Retreat, a luxurious and rejuvenating experience for women looking to reset and reconnect in a beautiful beachside setting. We talk about being a mum, juggling multiple jobs at the same time, discovering that freedom that comes with knowing yourself, managing your time effectively, and having that me-time self-care routine! This episode is full of realizations, golden nuggets, and honest conversations!
