Fr. Nathan discusses with his prayer partner Michael Quinn about finding joy after the unexpected passing of his beloved wife Linda, and how grief ebbs and flows, eventually becoming a peaceful and positive presence.

Michael Quinn has been a hospice volunteer for 20 years. He is co-author with his
late wife Linda of The Journey Home - Soul Release Intercession: Assisting the
Actively Dying at the Time of Transition and The Journey Home – Inspiring
Passages From Near-Death Experiences to Comfort the Dying. Michael believes
writing these books are a part of his sacred journey to awaken us to the reality
that we are all beautiful, sacred souls, loved beyond measure by God, and that life
is full of opportunities to share this profound love with others.

With the recent passing of his beloved Linda, Michael composed From Grief to
Peace: A Pilgrim’s Journey That Has Just Begun And Will Never End. He wrote:
“Grief isn’t something we go through, like driving through a rainstorm and
expecting a beautiful rainbow to greet us as we exit the storm. Rather, grief is
something that becomes a part of us forever. The good news is that over time, as
we make room for grief's existence, it becomes a more peaceful and positive
presence; one where warm memories and a connection with our loved one can
grow.”
