Some of the most exciting players within the entire softball landscape are involved, but not ALL of them are playing the AUSL. Let me explain: There are six teams in the AUSL, two more than the inaugural 2025 season, but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the Professional Softball League (PSL). They feature seven teams and some of the best players in the world. The overall net result of the two leagues is that women professional softball players have opportunities like never before.
