Almost one out of four women has experienced "severe physical violence" by an intimate partner, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

Today we have special Guest Yaz Franco, who is a domestic violence advocate, and did not mimd coming on the show sharing her story on how she overcame abuse in her past marriage.

Today we are live with producer/Actor Micheal Jai White, who you've seen is an American actor, director, and martial artist. He is the first African American to portray a major comic book superhero in a major motion picture, having starred as Al Simmons, the protagonist in the 1997 film Spawn. White appeared as Marcus Williams in the Tyler Perry films Why Did I Get Married? and Why Did I Get Married Too?, and starred as the character on the TBS/OWN comedy-drama television series Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse. White portrayed Jax Briggs in Mortal Kombat: Legacy. He portrayed boxer Mike Tyson in the 1995 HBO television movie Tyson. He also played the title role in the blaxploitation parody film Black Dynamite, as well as the animated series of the same name. Now White is officially in Pre-Production for his new movie "The Outlaw Johnny Black."

September is suicide prevention awareness month and 1 in 4 people live with a mental health conditions, Which means that someone, you know, has probably had thoughts of suicide, contemplated suicide, or may be you. We never know what’s going through a person’s mind.

It’s imperative, that we recognize that Suicide is a serious problem, and the rate of suicide among people is on the rise. People who consider suicide often feel like there is no hope, and they may often feel trapped or alone.

No one wants to talk about this it’s so taboo, it’s so stigmatized. It is not something we should be ashamed of, and it’s important that we have more open conversations this about this, with our loved ones. When something like this happens its effects the entire community.

This month my prayer is that we help raise awareness, because we all, can help prevent suicide across the nation. It’s important to reach out for help, you are not alone. If you or someone you may know are experiencing suicidal thoughts or want to help prevent suicide, please call 1-800-273-8255.

So many people asked me what kind of fast do I practice. There is really no wrong way to fast, but I usually start off by starving my addictions. Whether it's from emotions, food addictions, toxic food, or physical things that hold me down emotionally. In order to reboot or reset your mindset during a fast you must give yourself a chance to cleanse the body from any toxins that may be the root cause for emotional stress.
