  • Why God's Love Matters | Dec 6, 2015
In Matthew 22:36-40, a Pharisee asked Jesus, "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" As Christians we should be known for our love. Love comes from God and whoever does not love does not know God.

  • Test The Spirits | Nov 29, 2015
How can you discern if something is from God or not? Have you ever attended a church and heard something said that made you question if it was biblical? The Bible warns us of false prophets who have gone out into the world. They take God's word and distort it to fit their own agenda. This week Pastor Darrin continues his sermon series on 1 John and examines how we are to test the spirits to determine whether they are from God.

  • Love One Another
What comes to mind when you think of unconditional love? Is it a mother who loves her child no matter what he or she has done? Is it a soldier willing to forgive those he fought after a war has ended? Jesus asks us to love one another just as He has love us. But rather than a romantic love or a brotherly love, He commanded we love unconditionally. Just as Jesus is always willing to love and forgive us, we must also be willing to love and forgive others.

  • Joy For The Journey | Nov 15, 2015
The bible teaches that all we must do to be saved is to "Confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead." -Romans 10:9 You don't have to "get right with God" before you are saved, as some believe. But, once you've been saved from sin you should desire to keep from it and do what is right. Rather than feeling sorrow in leaving our past lifestyle behind, we should have joy for the journey!

  • Beware The Antichrists | Nov 8, 2015
This week Pastor Darrin continues his series on 1 John by asking the question, "Have you ever heard someone say, 'It doesn't matter what you believe, as long as you're sincere in your belief.'" This way of thinking couldn't be futher from the truth. No matter how much you believe something that isn't true, it won't make it any more true. There is only one truth that can grant us everlasting life and we must beware of false teachers who claim anything different.

  • A Glorious Relationship | Nov 1, 2015
Pastor Darrin opens his sermon with a question, "What would you rather have than Jesus?" For Christians, the answer should come as an easy "nothing". But if we examine our lives, is that what they actually reflect? Do you really put Jesus first in your life or do other things occupy your time and thoughts? Click the link below to listen to Pastor Darrin explain how we can relate to the Father, the benefits of that relationship and how to maintain it.

  • Testing Our Spiritual Walk | Oct 25, 2015
It's not what we do that grants us eternal life in heaven; it's Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. But, even though we aren't saved by our deeds, we should always strive to live as Jesus did. As his followers, our desire should be to set an example for others and show them the love of Christ.

  • Walking in The Light | Oct 18, 2015
Pop culture often teaches people that if they're more good than bad, that's their ticket into heaven. But by what standard would you be judging youself? You may see murderers, rapist and other evil people in the news and think, "I'm a good person compared to them." But God alone is the standard to which we're accountable. 1 John 1:8 explains, "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us." So if we are all sinful, how can we ever hope to see heaven? It's only by Jesus' sacrifice that our sins are forgiven. Only through Him, may we be saved for God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. Click the link below to listen to pastor Darrin Wan's sermon, "Walking in The Light", on our website.
