First Baptist Church Crothersville - Sermons/Podcast

En proskartereó, whis is the Greek used in Acts 2:42, means "they devoted". The believers devoted themselves to the apostle's teachings, to being the church God wanted them to be.

We are called to walk worthy of our position in the Royal Family, but you can't walk and stand out of a deficit. It has to happen out of an overflow.

Our responsibility is to proclaim the Gospel. God will take care of the rest.

In Matthew 13, Jesus describes the kingdom of heaven as a treasure, hidden in a field, or a perfect pearl. In both instances, the people who found these treasures gave up everything they had in order to obtain them. In the same way, we must be willing to give up all we have and follow Christ.

Christian life doesn't begin with doing, it begins with what's already been done for us.

Being a Christian doesn't shield us from going through struggles in our lives. But when those difficult times hit, we can feel safe in knowing that God has promised us joy and peace if we trust in Him and not in ourselves.

Have you ever regreted something? It could be something you've done or even something you didn't do. When you become a Christian and give your life up completely to God, you can live withouth regrets.

Each of us has been given talents here one earth. God has called us to use those talents to bring others into His kingdom.

What are we called to do as a church? What are we called to do as individuals? When it comes to being more like Christ, it's your serve.

Genesis 1:14 says, "And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years".
