Your God, My God, Our God

Children pick up so much by watching how others behave, especially their parents. Have you ever caught youself not behaving in a Godly manner around a child and they begin repeating what you did or said? In today's sermon, "Redeeming The Time", pastor Darrin Wan explains how we need to always act as if a child is watching us, because many times they are. We need to make the most of every opportunity we have to help others discover Jesus Christ and become His followers.

In Ezekiel 11:16-21, God makes six "I Will" statements. God promises He will: 1. Gather His people back together. 2. Give them back the land of Israel. 3. Give His people undivided hearts. 4. Remove from them a heart of stone. 5. Be their God. 6. Bring down on their own heads what they have done for those who turn away from Him. Is there something in your life that has been holding you back from living for God?

Isaiah 40:1-5 describes God preparing his people for their coming new life. They had to raise up the valleys, remove the obstacles of mountains and hills and make straight the crooked paths. This is a metaphor to explain how to prepare yourself for a Godly life.

When we see faith as a mod, something we just bring out whenever we make a mess, rather than a way of life...our life is in trouble and our faith is broken.
