A great day of worship! For class reasons the message was over 11 mins, but this quote from a sermon seemed to sum up the day. A fair God sees our condition, and only His judgement can change it! Father pour out your grace!!! 

“Know  who you are . See and feel that you are  a sinner. Feel that thy inner self is  very wickedness, that you are altogether corrupt and abominable, and that the wrath of God abides on you.... Know and feel that you are a poor, vile, guilty worm, quivering over the great gulf! Who are you ? A sinner born to die; a leaf driven before the wind."- John Wesley's Discourse on the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew  June 2nd 1742.

Glory! We had our first normal communion in 14 months!!!! Everything before had been in cups!! Great worship, as we covered our second “Way” of Methodism, “The Word of God made man!” 

Notes. Reconciliation  for the Christian  is only possible if Christ is fully God, and fully man. 

- God became flesh not to affirm us, but to change us. He takes us we’re we are, but never leaves us there! We don’t get to dumb down our expectations of Christ, or His for us!

I have listened to Pastor Kaylor’s “Wednesdays with Wesley” for a while now,  I have kept tabs on his ministry at Tri Lakes and some podcasts he’s been a part of for some time,  and share his passion for orthodox Wesleyan preaching for Jesus Christ, and why that matters. His book “Your best move now” was suggested to me to read before I moved to Troup, the idea of “Cottage meetings” set a great tone for our first year   This was a great 28 minute conversation for my preaching class!

We had a perfect storm of events events this weekend for our church, so no live stream. But we do have the audio of today’s worship!
