Today on our regular Friday feature, Open Mic, we pay tribute to the late Jazz music legend and activist, Hugh Masekela. Bra Hugh, as he is fondly known by his fans, friends and family, died on Tuesday after a long battle with Prostate Cancer. He was 79-years-old. Masekela has collaborated with some of the world's best performers, such as the likes of the late Miriam Makeba, Harry Belafonte, Louis Armstrong, Angelique Kidjo and Paul Simon. Ronald Phiri spoke to Grammy-winning singer, Angélique Kidjo who described Hugh Masekela as one of the first musicians to spread African Music all over the world.
