Dr James is a Lecturer and Researcher in Strength and Conditioning and Applied Sports Science within the Sport and Exercise Science discipline at La Trobe University. His research interests include strength-power development, periodisation and training theory, and collision and combat sports. Dr James had over 10 years of strength and conditioning industry experience across Australia and North America before returning to Australia in 2014 and transitioning into academia. He is an accredited Level 2 Sports Scientist (ESSA), and Accredited Level 2 Strength and Conditioning Coach (ASCA).

Liam is an SENr-registered Sport and Exercise Nutritionist (Graduate), having completed his undergraduate degree in BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science at Sheffield Hallam University and MSc Sport and Exercise Nutrition at Leeds Beckett University. He has now relocated and enrolled in a PhD in the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
His experience in sport science and nutrition began with British Diving in Sheffield during his undergraduate degree. Next, alongside postgraduate study at Leeds Beckett University, Liam volunteered in the Applied Practice Programme. This led to experience working as a performance nutritionist with a para-powerlifter, regional rugby players, female sports teams and Team GB Racewalking. Before moving abroad, Liam worked in the NHS as a Dietetic Assistant with the Type 2 Diabetes team in Leeds. Personally, he had the privilege of attending trials for Team GB Para-Triathlon and Cycling, and England Football as a teenager. He is now an endurance enthusiast and a classified T38 (cerebral palsy) Para-Athletics athlete. Liam is more than happy for you to contact him via the details below if you wish!

Ciaran is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the School of Medical and Health Science (SMHS) at Edith Cowan University. Having received his PhD from Ohio State University, his research focuses on the impact of exercise, nutrition and supplementation in the management of muscle loss in individuals with cancer.
Ciaran is also strong advocate of the dissemination of scientific research to a variety of audiences. He is the founder, CEO, and chief exercise physiologist at REACH (Research in Exercise and Cancer Health), a company designed to provide evidence-based guidelines of physical activity to health/medical professionals and individuals with cancer.

Dr Katie Hesketh is a Post Doc researcher at Liverpool John Moores University investigating mobile health technology and exercise adherence. She has recently finished her PhD, which looked at the real world application of high intensity interval training within an inactive/at risk population. During this time she developed a novel home-based HIIT protocol using body-weight exercises, and evaluated the effectiveness of other HIIT modalities such as videos seen used by influencers on social media.
