On episode 73 of the Squawk Ident podcast, Leadership, Mentorship, and Being Better, I have the privilege to sit down with a friend and former guest, Captain Kevin Elmore. The first time he was with us was on episode 50 - Captain, Commander, and Team USA. That was the episode where we introduced Captain Elmore to the podcasting world. In episode 50, he shared with us his journey in aviation, he outlined his service to our country, where he served as a Commander in the U.S. Navy, and how at the age of 50, he decided to start training to become a triathlon athlete to his long list of accomplishments. In this episode we have a discussion on the qualities it takes to be an effective leader and mentor. We also speak of the Threat and Error Management model and the foundation what it means to being better. With over 20,000 hours at the controls of a variety of aircraft, we are honored in having Captain Kevin Elmore join us again on episode 73.
