Welcome back to the Floating Home Podcast. I am so happy to be bringing you the 3rd series!
The first guest I have welcomed is the only guest to ever return to the podcast, and that is my wife, my best friend, my lover; Lauren Coley. We discuss our wedding, the start of married life, how we communicate and answer some questions about boat life and our future plans.
You can find Lauren on Instagram @coley.hoops
The episode finishes with a beautiful song titled 'Human Kindness' written by Carrie Tree. She writes this song from the perspective of a refugee she met during her time volunteering and it touched my soul the first time I heard it.
You can find Carries music on Spotify by searching 'Carrie Tree' and on her website https://www.carrietree.co.uk/

This episode of the podcast was nothing short of a breath of fresh air. Its rare you meet someone that can articulate many of the exact thoughts you have in such a concise, articulate & accurate manner but Louise did just that.
This was our first time meeting in person as she joined me alongside her partner, child, and unborn baby for an afternoon on the boat to discuss everything from their worldwide travels, their incredible published book & what its like to raise children on a narrowboat. I know everyone is going to fall in love with Louise's energy and take so much from this conversation

I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with Alex Sherrick to speak about his life experience growing up in an abusive household. A slight trigger warning before we begin we do discuss topics of child abuse on both a physical & emotional level however his story discusses the understanding of compassion & growth through all his experiences making him a truly inspiring young man.
His remarkable story has many twists and turns and lessons that we can all adapt into our daily life and I feel very grateful to of had this chat with him.

The final episode of Series 1 is with the love of my life, boat partner & wife to be.. Lauren Coley.
We blog a lot about our life on Instagram and are always asked questions surrounding living on a boat, why, how and when did we decide to live on a boat? what are the costs of living on a boat? as well as some other general questions about how we met etc. I took to Instagram to ask if anyone had any questions for us and we used this podcast as somewhat of a Q & A to answer some of your questions and I really hope you enjoy it :)
