  • Take A Minute // Responding With Silence (Midday Motivation)

If you're like me, it's so easy to become a people pleaser. In today's culture we are pulled in 10 different directions and we simply can't do it all. It's our default to tell everyone in our life YES because we don't take the time to think first. Taking a minute to pause, breathe deep and check our schedules can help us from reaching a place of exhaustion.

Taking a deep breath can also help us control our emotions and thought patterns. We all deal with those unexpected moments throughout the day that can throw us off. The Bible teaches us that sometimes instead of fighting we should practice stillness. We need to pause and take a deep breath, which will then help us to properly respond.

After COVID hit, I heard a quote that completely changed my perspective. "The best time to move ahead is in the worst times"

Oftentimes, we let the waves of fear and insecurity control our decision-making. Anytime we are following the crowd, we are going in the wrong direction. In today's episode, we discuss what it takes to have the strength to push forward with peace and direction.

  • Nobody Gets Me // Following Your Dreams (Midday Motivation)

We are often filled with excitement when we get a new idea or dream about the future. When sharing with other people the desires of our heart, we are often left at the place of wondering why people don't see them the way we do. In the next 5 minutes, I'm going to share why it's actually a good thing when nobody gets you.

  • People Are Going To Let You Down (Midday Motivation)

Midday Motivation is a short thought that will help motivate you throughout the day.  It's my hope to encourage you in 5 minutes or less!  These are exclusive to the podcast only so be sure to subscribe!

If you have lived for longer than 5 minutes, I can be certain that someone in your life has let you down. When we choose to trust people, we open the door to accepting them on their good & bad days. The people that we live & work with are not always going to live up to our expectations we have set for them.

The other side of the coin is that WE ourselves have let people down. If we cancel everyone in our life because they're not perfect, we'll have no one left to call a friend.

  • Is Social Media Destroying Us? // The Conversation (Part 2)

Welcome to Part 2 of the "Life Without Social Media" Conversation. Taking steps back from social media has completely transformed my life, mental health, and business. I deleted TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat & Instagram this past year.

My biggest fear was that I wouldn't be known or that I wouldn't be able to make a difference in the world if I wasn't constantly online. I sat down to share a few of the things I've learned since leaving the social media world. After our video "A Year Without Social Media" went viral, I realized how many people are miserable and connect with the message of finding contentment again.

With the release of the Social Dilemma and other content, I know there is a rising conversation regarding how technology affects our lives. Learning to be present and finding alone time has helped me control the worry and anxiety that I've dealt with all of my life.

We do so much for others, but I believe in this new year it's time that we start prioritizing ourselves. We can't pour if we're empty and we surely can't help people if all of our attention is on a device.

  • Goodbye Perfection // Hello Contentment

We all feel that overwhelming pressure to be PERFECT. If it doesn't come from people in our lives, we often place it on ourselves. I started 2021 with the new year's resolution that I was going to say goodbye to perfection.

Many of us are giving people and want to take care of others. Although I admire this mindset, I believe that it's equally important we invest in ourselves. It has taken me a long time to where I can sit down and just be myself for you guys. The growing superficialness of the world only makes the genuine stuff more real. The way we become something different is by looking inward and prioritizing alone time. What if we started this year with the idea that we can accomplish anything?

  • Life Is Big, We Are Small // Believe In Yourself Again

I've learned this year how short life really is. Social Media has made us think we are more important than we really are. Our beliefs are so often influenced by friends, celebrities, politicians, and people on the internet. I had to sit down and ask myself what do I really believe? I wanted to share part 2 of the lessons I've learned from 2020. This has been a year of trials for so many, but I really believe you have all that you need. I heard someone say recently, "The best time to move ahead is in the worst times."

The pandemic has caused deep financial, mental, relational, and spiritual struggles for people all around the world. I don't pretend to have found the answer to fix everything, but I believe slowing down to look inward and reflect surely doesn't hurt things.

This is the season to believe in yourself again. It has not been an easy year, but I do believe it was a necessary one. We are getting stronger, wiser and we will come out of it better together!
