On November 21 and 22, Fidelity Investments Canada hosted FOCUS 2024 in Scottsdale, connecting our portfolio managers and experts with advisors. Today’s podcast features portfolio manager Darren Lekkerkerker’s session from the event, speaking with moderator Glen Davidson. Darren first joined Fidelity in 2004 as a research analyst, and has now just celebrated his 15-year anniversary as a portfolio manager, managing the equity sleeve of Fidelity Canadian Balanced Fund. Darren also manages Fidelity Global Natural Resources Fund alongside Joe Overdevest, and his Fidelity North American Equity Class. This fund typically has a 70% U.S. and 30% Canada split, and today we’ll hear if Darren is positioned close to that mix, or if he finding more opportunities within one of the countries, among other topics.
