Today, the US Supreme Court offered a boost to the Biden administration by backing a federal gun ban for domestic abusers. But all eyes are on some key decisions which are yet to be released. These include whether former President Trump is protected from prosecution for actions taken while he was president, whether the prosecution of January 6th rioters via an obstruction statute is lawful, and if a restrictive Idaho abortion ban, which is preventing some patients from getting treatment, can continue. Jessica Roth, Professor of Law at the Cardozo Law School, and Steven Mazie, the Supreme Court Correspondent for The Economist, joined the show to discuss today’s rulings, as well as what lies ahead.
Also on today's show: Dr. Radley M. Horton, Professor of Climate, Columbia Climate School; Dr. Rev. William J. Barber II, Founding Director, Center for Public Theology and Public Policy, Yale Divinity School / Author, “White Poverty”
