In Draw the Circle, Mark Batterson uses this verse to remind us that there are times when we need to tell our problems about God rather than telling God about our problems. In the COVID-19 pandemic, many are worried that this problem will change how we live forever. Others think it's all a big scare. In addition to that pandemic, racial tensions continue to escalate. Our world is broken. Our sin broke it. Erwin McManus once said we should fall madly in love with Jesus and the do whatever we want. We're so in love with ourselves. We do what we want, or we do what we think someone else wants. We try to be our own king, and that caused the fall of man. Our desire to do things our own way broke the world and our relationship with God. But God is powerful. He continues to work his plan. Today, let's join God in his work by praying and living as if God will win, because he already has.

God's Reach
John tells his story about how he came to be a Christian and start his walk through God on this earth. In his story, we learn that God had the plan for John before he knew what the plan was and nothing could stop that plan from coming to fruition. I learned something very important from this story - God's reach is well beyond anything we can imagine for ourselves. Sometimes as Christians, we tend to think that through secular work, God is impeded by that barrier but we need to understand that God has no barriers, he has no borders and his love is everlasting. What are some of the things you have seen God do when you thought he might not be able to reach a certain person or program? Do you have stories where you couldn't see him working but then had that "ah-ha" moment afterward? Tell us on Facebook or through Mighty Networks!
Knowledge and Application
Having knowledge of how to do something and the application of that knowledge are very different. Sometimes we believe that we are much further along in the application process than we think and the Marketplace Mission Trip is a good reminder of this. John talks to Mike about how, just like the Follower of One Marketplace Mission Trip, we might not know what it really means to be living in his words and spread the gospel until we actively try to do it on a daily basis. So, how have you put your thoughts and ideas into an application? What results have you seen from actively living out your faith in the workplace? We at Follower of One would love to know! Listen to John as he talks about some of the tools he uses in WAY Media and there are opportunities for you to do the same!

Time
We all have the same amount of time in a 7-day span as everyone in the world. What do you do with your 168 hours each week? Warren breaks down the amount of time every person uses for sleeping, personal hygiene, pleasure, and work. He talks about how the unique advantages of the Marketplace Mission Trip align with our daily lives without asking for more time away from your current focal points (Job, Family, etc.). There is about 100 hours each week that we save for work and personal pleasure. What can we do with those 100 hours? Time is always of the essence but it is easy to forget what we are capable of accomplishing when we have set goals without ambiguity. Time is important so we urge each of our listeners to understand that you can do more if you so choose!
God's Plan
This is a common theme for us here at Follower of One. God's plan is something we all struggle with throughout our lives. What is his plan for us? What makes us different? Am I on the right path? Warren talks about how God's plan is not always as visible as it seems when we are right in the middle of the work. Yet, if we look backward it becomes more and more clear. Are you trusting God to work through you in your lives? Maybe you were meant to be right where you are now. Maybe you are meant to take that leap into a different space even though you are scared. God's plan is all about trusting him to lead you down the right path. How do you feel about your current life plan? Let us know in the comments, Mighty Networks, and on social media! We look forward to having deeper discussions with you!
