What is true freedom? Our sins are paid for therefore we are free. We as Christians need to make sure not to use that as an excuse to use our freedom as a "cover-up for evil" but to use that freedom to honor God and the things He wants us to do. Sure we are free to sin and know we are forgiven but even more, we are free to strive to live life like Christ because He paid it all, for us. That is true freedom, choice.

In today’s episode, Roger Courville talks about his passion for creating connections with people. He has spent several years teaching presentation skills in the virtual space where people think it’s all about technology. But he says the foundational thing is connecting with people. Since our faith becomes relevant wherever we are, it’s important to realize how this ties into our workplace. Working with people day in and day out creates a great opportunity for them to see a difference in you. Roger talks about how important it is to live out what First Peter 3:15 states - to always be ready to give an account for the hope that is in you. Learn the art of dialogue and how you can guide people relationally without being manipulative. You’ll realize that sharing your faith is easier than you thought.

How does micro-conversion in the marketplace relate to evangelism? In marketing, a micro-conversion means the prospective buyer has slightly moved more in the right direction. It may take many micro-conversions until he becomes a customer. It’s a matter of growing the prospect’s trust in you as the seller. This is a great analogy to evangelism because it helps change your mindset to understand where a person is. Find out why it’s important to know this before trying to get someone to the next point. Listen to this episode to find out how you can help your coworkers move one step closer to Jesus by asking the right questions.

Outline of This EpisodeWork can be tiring and demanding. There’s always more on your to-do list than time in the day to get things done. So what motivates you to return day after day? Jessica shares how her perspective has changed about work since she participated in several mission trips. She is the daughter of Mike Henry Sr., founder of Follower of One. Growing up, she heard a lot about this concept of being a missionary in the workplace. But when she stepped into a supervisory position, that’s when taking her mission into the workforce became more relevant. Find out how her involvement in the Marketplace Mission Trips has helped her with the challenges of being Christlike in her workplace.
How Can I Make a Difference in My Workplace?
In the day-to-day tasks of work, it can be difficult to find ways to display God. Jessica learned unique ways to make a difference in her work through the Marketplace Mission Trips. She had been on some traveling mission trips but wasn’t sure what to expect when she wasn’t packing a bag and going somewhere. But during the mission trips, she was given a new task daily that helped her look at her job in a new way. Find out how prayer in her workplace has helped her become more aware of other’s needs and how she can be part of God’s plan to reach them.
Find Out How God’s Timing + Your Willingness to Step Out = a HUGE ImpactIt’s hard to think of other people’s needs before your own. Maybe you feel too busy with emails and tasks at work to reach out to others. But if you take time to do small things to make co-workers feel like they matter, God can use it. It could be as simple as smiling or saying hello. Jessica felt led to write a note to an employee to thank her for her work. Listen to this episode to find out how long it took for that employee to find that note and how it impacted her at just the right time.
How to Get Support Through the Follower of One CommunityIn a world where so many people are being ostracized for their faith, believers must find community. The Bible says, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” (Matthew 18:20 ESV) Jessica points out how in today’s technology-driven world, we can gather remotely. That’s why the online community is a great way to be in fellowship with like-minded individuals. It’s a safe place to go for prayer and support when you’re having difficulties. Connect with Jessica FletcherMake time. Are you interrupted well? I don't do well with
interruption. We all need to make time to be interrupted by
others. Remember things don't happen on our time, they happen
on God's time. Let's make room today for interruptions, time for
God to work through us.
I wanted to talk about prayer today, two in particular. Isaiah 6:8,
"Whom shall I send?" God saved us to work, to do His work. Will you say, here I am? Do you start each day "checking in" with God?
Do you ask Him to put you to work? I'll tell you today why I think those two prayers are so important.
