In Matthew 13, Jesus tells two parables that give us some idea about how valuable the Kingdom of God is. Pastor Mike looks at these parables and shows us in great detail just how valuable God's Kingdom is.

Jesus assures us from His parables about the mustard seed and leaven that His Kingdom - that started out small - has grown, is growing, and will grow. Nothing can stop it! Pastor Mike looks at these two parables to encourage us, and to challenge us that the ONLY way the Kingdom grows is through death, burial, and resurrection.

Jesus makes it clear in His parable about the weeds in Matthew 13 that the condition of His Kingdom presently is that Christians and non-Christians are commingled. Like wheat and weeds in a field, both "grow up" together. In this sermon, Pastor Mike shows what posture Christians are to take with those who do not follow Christ in this "already / not yet" kingdom period.

The Parable of the Sower is the first parable Jesus told, and it's packed full of Kingdom of God secrets! Pastor Mike looks at the parable and shows us the foundational Kingdom principles that Jesus was communicating to His disciples - and to us who follow Him today.

Who is Jesus? This is a question that every person must wrestle with. In this sermon, Pastor Mike shows that Jesus is the King of all kings by showing that His baptism was a "coronation" ceremony where the thread of the kingdom of God from the Old Testament found its culmination.

Pastor Mike continues looking at the thread of the Kingdom of God as it runs through the Old Testament - helping us to better understand what it is. If the Bible is about a king, a kingdom, and a royal family, then understanding what the kingdom of God is is essential.

When Jesus appears on the scene, he declared that "the kingdom of God is at hand," and in the Gospels, the kingdom of God is mentioned 126 times. Obviously, this concept was a major theme of Jesus' ministry and teaching, and in this sermon, Pastor Mike begins to unpack what the kingdom of God is.

Pastor Mike wraps up the sermon series looking at the final chapter of Malachi - which serves as a very appropriate start of Advent. Jesus has come! Jesus will come again! Malachi calls of God's people in the OT to remember that the Redeemer will come and bring justice. And Pastor Mike calls on us to remember that the Redeemer will come again.

God accused His people in the Old Testament of robbing Him. "How?" they asked. By skimping on their required tithes and offerings. For us today, the Old Covenant tithe is no longer required, but could we still be guilty of robbing God? Pastor Mike explores this passage from Malachi 3:7-18 and gets to the bottom of this question.

Why does it seem like evil people prosper? This is the question that was tripping up God's people during the time of Malachi, the prophet. It trips us up today too, but God has some pretty pointed words to those of us who wonder. Pastor Mike explores Malachi 2:17-3:6 and shows us how God responds to this complaint.
