In Malachi, the prophet is speaking to God's people who had been redeemed from captivity - but were not getting along with one another. In this sermon, Pastor Mike looks at Malachi 2:10-16 and reminds us - as redeemed people - that we must continue to be faithful to one another, striving for unity with fellow believers and unity in our homes.

God had redeemed his people from captivity in Babylon. Not only that: He had fully restored their temple, their city, and their livelihoods. In this sermon, Pastor Mike shows us how the people quickly took God's honor for-granted, and how God responded to this through his prophet, Malachi. God's honor is not something His people are to ever forget or take lightly, so Pastor Mike calls us once again to evaluate and renew our honor and worship Him.

Pastor Joe introduces us to the final book in the sermon series: Malachi. Malachi prophesied about 100 years after God's people were released from their captivity in Babylon. In those 100 years, God not only redeemed them, but He miraculously restored their lives back in their homeland. However, the people began to complain, so God sent Malachi to address their complaints. In this sermon, Pastor Joe takes a look at their first complaint: "I don't think God even loves us anymore."

In the OT, God's people just couldn't keep it together. Nehemiah 13 is evidence of this as Nehemiah has to return to Jerusalem to call people again to the same things he called them to just 2 years earlier. And lest we look upon these people with judgmental eyes, we're the same way. We're ALL desperately in need of a redeemer, and Pastor Mike shows how Jesus perfectly fits that bill, and how placing our faith and trust in Him solves our problem of brokenness and unfaithfulness.

The walls of Jerusalem have been rebuilt, and now it's time to party! Eating fat and drinking wine is prescribed by the priests, but so is a steady feasting on God's Word. And as the Word is being consumed, God's people are moved to follow it more closely and renew their covenant with God. Pastor Mike shows us the importance of feasting on the Word, praying it, and doing it.

Nehemiah receive a clear call from God to go to Jerusalem and rebuild the walls. However, there were many enemies there who didn't want him to succeed. Pastor Mike shows us how - when God calls His redeemed people to carry out His kingdom purposes - NOTHING and NO ONE can stand in the way!

Nehemiah was seemingly happy serving as the cupbearer to the Persian king in the city of Susa, but he was one of God's people, and God had a Kingdom assignment for him. Pastor Mike explains how Nehemiah "repented and believed" upon hearing from God, and how this is what all of God's people should do.

All the way back in Genesis, God entered into a covenant with His chosen people. Since then, God has been perfectly faithful to it, but His people have not. In Ezra 7-10, we see an example of the unfaithfulness of God's people. Ezra reminds them of God's faithfulness to them and calls them to repentance. Pastor Mike explores this text and reminds us of God's faithfulness and what our response to it should be.

In the days of Esther, God's redeemed people were faced with genocide. A decree had gone out from the king of Persia that all Jews were to be killed. Surely, these people felt like God was not working on their behalf. Surely, these people felt abandoned by God. But...God had NOT abandoned them! As a matter of fact, He was working behind the scenes to deliver them from this horrible decree. Pastor Mike shows us that God still works this way today for His redeemed people. God is at work - even when we don't think that He is!

It's one thing to believe that God is working good for His people when things are going well, but what about when things aren't going well? Do we still believe that He is working for our good? Do we trust Him even when things are going wrong? Pastor Mike explored Esther 3-4 and shows us how - even when God's people were faced with overwhelming bad news - God was working to bring about deliverance and redemption for them.
