As we follow the redemption of God's people in the Old Testament chronologically, we break from Ezra and head into Esther where God again is at work to redeem His people. In Esther, we read the record of God's people who stayed behind in Babylon, and we read of a dastardly plot by the Persians to kill all of them - but God has not forgotten these people, and He raises up a Jewish girl to be His instrument in bringing about their redemption.
