With these unprecedented times that we are living in and with all of the uncertainties of life, from time to time we all have a moment in time where we become overcome with the unknown of how something is going to workout and that will lead us to worrying. As children of God, we are commanded to "take no thought" (don't be anxious) about anything. We as children of God have to trust that he will take care of us. In this episode of our Kitchen Table Conversation, with discuss the some of the causes of worry and what to do when you begin to worry. Join us as we discuss, "Ain't No Need To Worry."
In this episode of our Kitchen Table Conversation, we continue discussing 2 Chronicles 7:14. We are now at the portion of the scripture where God says "and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways." We talk about how people spend time seeking everything but the face of God: fame, fortune, prestige, power, position, etc. We also discuss how some of the things that people seek are not bad within themselves, but we put those things before God thus not spending time seeking God's face/presence. We then turn our focus to the portion of the scripture that says "and turn from your wicked ways." Now be mindful that the scripture is not talking to the unbeliever, but it is directly speaking to God's people. Just in case you've never thought about it, Christians and wicked ways don't go together. Thank God for Grace and Mercy. Join us as we dive into this part of the scripture.
In this episode of our Kitchen Table Conversation, we continue discussing 2 Chronicles 7:14. We are now at the portion of the scripture where God says "and pray.” Prayer is simply communicating with the Father. Prayer is powerful. Prayer can do what we can’t do and go where we can’t go. God wants us to talk with Him. He wants to hear from us; not just in times when we’re in need, but also when things are okay. Sincere prayer moves God. And this is validated in the above scripture. When the child of God prays, they are obeying God which causes God to move, (in His Time). Prayer is part of the antidote to the problems that our world is facing today. Join us as we continue discussing this scripture.
