I was a teen in the whole "purity culture" movement and had good things and bad things taught in those younger years. So what now? Motherhood is such a high calling and privilege. The more I read God's Word and know the Lord, the greater urgency I have for praying for the hearts and souls of my children daily. Them knowing and walking with Jesus is the most important thing in this life. As a mother, I need to prioritize my own walk with Jesus too, so that I'm living as an example to them of what it looks like to walk with Jesus.

As mothers, whether intentionally or not, we are either blessing or cursing our children for generations to come. It's so important that we take our role as mothers so seriously in raising the next generation to know and love Jesus.

Deuteronomy 6:7-9 NKJV

You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
