There are so many things on my heart lately but here's a quick chat about my husband's new book, things I struggle with and the burden on my heart as I pray for my children. This is an unedited video with a battery outage break in the middle. We're going scrappy with content today. haha! But in all seriousness, my prayer for you as you listen is that your own heart is stirred to take the word of God seriously in your mothering and in the ways you pray over your own children.

When I was walking through the midst of miscarriage and grief and trying to understand what was happening, I was looking everywhere for other women’s stories to help me not feel alone in it all. My hope in writing and sharing parts of my story is to not only help myself to heal and process things but to help you if you’re looking to heal and process too. The prayer of faith heals the sick (James 5:15-16) and faith comes through hearing the word of God ( Romans 10:17) so let’s listen to God’s word and how healing is described as we strengthen our faith being reminded of the truth in God’s word.

The Rope Illustration: I first heard this from Francis Chan years ago. I'll link it below...

But it impacted me so much I now have a similar rope hanging in my home as a reminder to myself and my children how short our life is and how long eternity is.

Our job as mothers is to teach our children, through our own example, how to love the LORD with all their heart, soul, mind and strength.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

Episode 31: How to keep your kids from evil

This is taken from 2 Chronicles chapters 12 and 13. It is so important as christian mothers to be aware and alert of the tactics of the enemy and protect our children, especially in the little years. We need to be mothers who teach our children to wholly seek the Lord and to know God's Word. And that starts with our own example and relationship with the Lord.

Questions I hear a lot are "Should I have kids?", "Should I have more kids?", "How expensive are kids?", "Should I pursue a career or have a family?"

Episode 28: YOU'VE BEEN LIED TO. Kids aren't too expensive + you don't have to lose yourself in motherhood. There is an assault on motherhood, raising a family, staying home with your kids as well as lies about how expensive kids are. But you're being lied to. Kids aren't too expensive and motherhood is an incredibly high calling. Let's chat all about it in this episode.
