For You Radio

Dr. Rod Rosenbladt's classic lecture on the Sad and Mad ones who have become alienated from the church has many rich treasures to offer us. Craig and Troy continue to share this great lecture from a great teacher of the church with you, and they find once again that the gospel is for the unbeliever and the believer alike.

Craig and Troy return to the font of Dr. Rod Rosenbladt's teaching, and in the process we remember why we must continually return to the font of Christ's grace. Though we do not want to sin, nevertheless we still find ourselves doing exactly what we don't want to do. But in that truth there is no despair, for Christ's covering is complete.

The sainted Rev. Dr. Rod Rosenbladt's classic presentation of the gospel being for the believer and unbeliever alike. Craig and Troy give you the special treat of hearing "Dad Rod" speak, and they take some time interspersed within that speech to comment and apply Rod's rich lesson.

Finally, the end of Judges! Except it's depressing . . . and sad . . . and full of foolishness and falseness and just plain sin. But as Craig and Troy work their way through this mess, they discover a valuable truth: God still has grace for us, and He still keeps His promises.

When we approach evil by our power, we will suffer great defeat. But when we lean on God and His power, He will give His victory.

IT'S JUST SO CREEPY. Just when you think the world has reached its lowest point, you go and open the bible and see when it was even lower. What does society look like when Jesus can't be found? The book of Judges takes an even darker turn, and Craig and Troy struggle to find Christ in this chapter.

Oh, there is so much to be said on that. Creating a god in your own image never works out the way you think it should. Micah finds out the hard way that even the gods of his own making won't stay with him. Craig and Troy begin to wind down the book of Judges.

. . . which, as you and I (and Craig and Troy) know is a very very bad idea. Why don't the people in the book of Judges recognize the bitter irony in what they say and do? More importantly, why don't you and I see that in ourselves? Craig and Troy continue through the strange and sad book of Judges.

You know what the most amazing thing about the story of Samson is? It's how we can still see not only glimpses of Jesus' mercy for us, but also His sacrifice for us. Jesus' greatest victory comes from His lowest point. Craig and Troy finish the long, sad, confusing, and at times stupid story of Samson.

Well, it appears Samson didn't learn his lesson after all. He fights with the strength of the Lord, but forgets the Lord is his strength. When faced with a woman who is obviously trying to find out his secrets, he eventually caves and gives himself over to her. But wasn't he supposed to be given wholly over to the Lord?
