Two decades of a US-led war in Afghanistan appears to have left the country, and its security, in tatters. Explosions rocked the capital Kabul this morning killing more than 60 people, including 13 US troops, at the airport. ISIS-K has claimed responsibility. No New Zealand defence force members or nationals were at the airport, having left on the final flight the night before. US president Joe Biden says his country will not forgive or forget, and his military leaders are vowing retribution.
