1. To build a dream God must be the one who moves you.
Ezra 1:1 “the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia”

God often stirs up more than one person. Ezra 1:5
2. To build a dream one must put complete action to it.
Ezra 1:1 “so that he made a proclamation and also put it in writing”
3. Help build anotherʼs dream and God will give you one also.
Ezra 1:6 “And all those who were around them encouraged them.”

4. To build a dream you must have voices that praise.
Ezra 2:65 “and they had two hundred men and women singers”
Ps 22:1-5
5. A God given dream will bring unprecedented unity.
Ezra 3:1 “the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered
together as one man to Jerusalem.”

1. Baptism is showing public submission to Godʼs Word.
Vs. 14 “And John tried to prevent Him”

2. Baptism is prophetic in its very nature.
Vs. 15 “for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness”
Baptism represents the righteousness God imputes to us through
Christʼs blood!
Imputed, “Charged to the account of… charge somebody
responsible for another's crime”; Romans 5:12-21
Imparted, “To give, grant or communicate; to bestow on another a
share or portion of something”

3. Baptism shows the acceptance of God apart from good
works.
Vs.17 “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased”

moral integrity the other their ceremonial obedience

2. Christmas is about confessing the difference between
sinful man and Holy God.
Vs. 15 “For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall
drink neither wine nor strong drink…filled with the Holy Spirit,…”

3. Christmas is about Godʼs faithfulness even in our failure.
Vs. 18 “How shall I know this?”

4. Christmas is about declaring our Christian burden.
Vs. 21 “And the people waited for Zacharias, and marveled that
he lingered”
