Released 15 years after the original, and opening just three weeks after the release of The Avengers, MIB3 found itself in a very different cinema landscape than its two predecessors. Added to that, the very public production postponement due to script issues thanks to reports from film blogs such as Bleeding Cool, /Film, and Ain’t It Cool News, the film was met with mostly apathy by moviegoers.
