12% of all websites on the internet are pornographic (see linked article). 70% of men admit to visiting a pornographic website at least once a month. These numbers reflect the state of the availability of pornographic material in society. If that much material is being consumed then some of the individuals consuming it are going to develop what could be clinically diagnosed as an addiction.
