Fred Grandy takes us on his journey from Gopher on The Love Boat to the US House of Representatives to his starring role as Harry Truman in the one-man stage show Give 'Em Hell, Harry!

Fred Grandy shares his journey with us from being part of a famous improv group at Harvard (The Proposition) to landing one of his first roles as Adrienne Barbeau's boyfriend on the TV series Maude. Fred talks about his time on Death Race 2000 and shares a story about Sylvester Stallone and working with Roger Corman. We discuss Fred's episode of Welcome Back, Kotter which also featured George Carlin. Fred also shares his time as a crime fighter fighting alongside Frankenstein, Werewolf, and Dracula on the show Monster Squad.

Fred also shares the origin story of The Love Boat and how Aaron Spelling saved the show after two failed pilots. Fred shares many stories from his time on the Love Boat.

We also discuss how Fred landed his role on The Mindy Project and his current one-man play Give 'Em Hell, Harry! where Fred portrays Harry Truman.
