Peter Gunderman, MD discusses a recent AJR study that finds that a free-breathing accelerated cine sequence with deep learning reconstruction is just as accurate as standard breath-hold SSFP sequences in estimating left ventricular measurements. An accurate free-breathing cine sequence could benefit patients who have difficulty holding their breath and decrease scanning times, but there are limitations to the study that may hinder wider adoption.
