Freedom's Disciple

Dear America, There are many reasons America is unique and exceptional, however they all start with your Constitution. It helped change EVERYTHING! In many ways if the Constitution goes, America long seeks to be exceptional. Today, I am becoming very troubled at the lack of respect for the Constitution on BOTH sides of the political aisle. The Constitution and principles have a lot in common – they are easy to stand for when they suit / benefit you, the hard part is standing for them when they hurt you. I am appalled at the answers and messaging coming from the GOP and most of the Presidential candidates regarding the replacement of Antonin Scalia. Either they don’t know the Constitution or care more about political games than the Constitution and it needs to stop before it hurts the American people.

This Presidential election looks more like an election in Europe than one from America. On the Democratic side you have a 74 year old self-avowed socialist and a 68 year old progressive. On the GOP side you have forgotten the message of Reagan where Government was the problem, now it’s just badly managed. At the GOP debate last week you had a debate over whether Obama is incompetent or an ideologue. In this episode I take the 10 point checklist of the “extreme” hard left of Karl Marx and his Manifesto and ask American’s how close you are to his checklist. The question today for every American is do you want to complete the dreams of your Founding Fathers or Karl Marx?

Last week America discussed the phony issue of New York Values, but yet this week a real NYC issue came up and most were silent. That issue was during the storm where police stated if you went out after 230 you would be arrested. Does the government have that right? What about America being the land of the free? Also Jonathon shares his thoughts on his recent trip stateside and shares a story about how women doing laundry helped America during the Revolutionary War.
