What really matters, is what you give most of your attention too! Matter is defined as: being of importance, having significance. Jesus said, "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. What really matters to you? What matters to someone else, might not matter to you. What do you value? If you value relationships, that means you value people, and if you value people, that must mean you appreciate and treat people with the utmost respect. People and how you treat them, should be at the top of your What Really Matters list.
God has blessed us in such away, that he has granted us another 52 weeks. We've made to the last Sunday of 2020. This has been a challenging and difficult year for us all, but by the Grace of God he has brought us through. I encourage you to keep looking to the hills from whenceth cometh your help, all your help comes from the Lord.
As we come to a close of another year. We all had great excitement and, expectations for this year. Most of us said that 2020 was going to be our year. Then COVID-19 came out of nowhere and rained on our parade. It impacted the entire world, with shutdowns, school closings, people having to work from home, and businesses closing. What do you do when things don't go as planned? I mentioned earlier about COVID-19 raining on our parade, the question is, what did you bring to the parade? I hope you brought your umbrella, rain coat and galoshes, because I sure brought mine. We all must be prepared to make adjustments, because all of our plans are not going to always go as smooth as we would like them too. But as long as we keep focused and expect turbulence, we will be fine.
Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant source of stress. We must learn healthy ways to move through adversity, instead of pretending it did not happen. Resilience is a skill we all must add to our repertoire. The resilience you'll need to acquire through the panic and disarray, is different than the resilience you'll need to get through what comes afterwards.
Through out our lifetime, we are going to have to shift. These are critical moments in our lives, that will set us on course to our destiny. In order to shift you going to need three ingredients; 1. instructions 2. forgetting pass failures that paralysis you future 3. obedience. If your shift is going to be successful, you are going to have to walk away from some stuff such as: people, jobs, relationships and sometimes family. Do not settle for anything less than what God has for you. If you want something different, do something different.
