He was in Rome for the Conclave and subsequent announcement that native Chicagoan Robert Prevost had become the first American-born Pope in the history of the Catholic Church. He took the name Pope Leo XIV. Fresno's Morning News went live to Rome on Friday morning (late afternoon in Rome) to have Chandler take us through what he saw, felt and heard from the time he arrived in the Vatican.
