In this episode of Up+Adam, Adam Montiel sits down with the Oscar-nominated actor, writer, and comedian to talk about his latest role in the buzz-worthy new dramedy The Penguin Lessons, hitting theaters March 28th. Based on a true story and set during Argentina’s 1976 political crisis, the film follows a disillusioned teacher who rescues an oil-slicked penguin—only to find that this unlikely bond forces him to confront his past and reawaken his sense of purpose.

Steve opens up about the emotional depth of the character, what surprised him most about acting opposite a penguin, and even dives into fan theories around his explosive cameo in Tropic Thunder. It’s witty, thoughtful, and full of those “Wow, great question” moments you expect from Up+Adam.
