  • The Myth of Overnight Success

We tackle a myth that derails and discourages so many of our clients.

In our fast-paced, instant gratification society, this myth is as pervasive in the entrepreneurial world as it is in the health and wellness space. Being sold the idea that there is “overnight success” or a “magic pill” to instantaneously arrive creates so much frustration in the actual process.

Today we have an honest conversation about what actually goes into success, what questions to ask yourself when seeking change or a new goal, and how to make space for the hopeful twist of an overnight breakthrough that is possible!

Let’s examine this lie of overnight success that our microwave society wants us to buy. Let’s jump in & let’s get curious!

  • Money Stories with Georgia Lee Hussey, CFP

We continue our conversation about financial wellness by interviewing Georgia Lee Hussey, who is CEO and founder of Modernist Financial, a B Corp Wealth Management Firm, to the podcast.

Adriana began this series talking about how abundance and authenticity are intricately linked. In our last episode, Lea shared how understanding the role of money in the subconscious can be a powerful method for unlocking self-worth and realizing how we value our doing rather than our being.

In today’s conversation, we discuss Money Stories and how they impact the dollars and cents of financial planning. Georgia provides context for how our values and our narratives about money impact our journey through this world, our planning for the future, and even how we live & spend in the present. We dive into where these stories come from, whose voices we’ve internalized, and why getting clear on them is her first step to financial wellbeing. Georgia shares with us the five dimensions of wealth, and together we explore the concepts of plenty & enough while planning for the future.

    Enjoy this rich conversation!

  • Money & the Subsconscious

Our brains are always changing and creating new neural pathways. We get curious about the exploding science of how to shape our subconscious.  Lea explains how finances and money interact and influence our physical and mental health.

Lea shares how cultural messages, historical narratives, and stories ingrained in our subconscious mind dictate our sense of wellbeing, self-worth, and wholeness.  She exposes how these influences, invisible to our conscious and logical mind, create patterns of behaviors and habits that thwart our desired physical, mental, and financial outcomes.

Lea talks about how attending to our nervous system, the physical sensations in our body, and naming our emotions can begin to unlock the power of the subconscious.

With her 20+ years as a director in theater arts, Adriana shares her findings that great art and influence comes by stepping into abundance, dispelling the myth that one must be a “starving artist” to be successful.

Moving from scarcity to the practice of authenticity and abundance is at the heart of Adriana’s coaching & courses. If public speaking, speaking via video, social media, or in person events is part of your role as a business leader or entrepreneur, be sure to grab the skills, strategies, and structure to confidently connect with your audience and realize your impact and income goals in Adriana’s current offerings.

As promised, your guide to prepare for a medical visit:

    Before visit:
    - Have the story clear in my mind or written out
    - How am I coping with this? How is this affecting me?
    - Be ready to share information not asked. You didn’t ask me this, and I would like to share with you...  You didn’t ask me this, but I would like you to know… My theory about this issue is...

    Common questions clinicians ask (OPQRST):

Onset of symptoms: When did it start? What else did I notice when it started?

Provoking/Palliating symptoms: What makes it worse? What makes it better?

Quality of symptoms: What does it feel like? Use words to describe the pain such as sharp, dull, stabbing, burning, crushing, throbbing, nauseating, shooting, twisting or stretching.

Region/Radiation: Where is the pain located? Does the pain radiate? Does it feel like it travels/moves around? Did it start elsewhere and is now localized to one spot

Severity: On a scale 1-10 how intense is the pain? 10 being worst pain in your life.

Timing of symptoms: How long did it last? How often does it occur? Is it sudden or gradual? When do you usually experience it? Is it accompanied by other signs or symptoms? Does it occur surrounding meals? Does it occur seasonally?
