IN TODAY'S FUEL....
POINT #1: Hiking With The Sheepdog
While hiking with Sam Falsafi, they had a vertical experience about temporary states.
The pain won't last, but neither will pleasure.
POINT #2: Temporarily Feeling Good
It's the idea of "this too shall pass" in both pain and the burst of energy that comes from pleasure that opens doors for expansion.
We need to learn to release ourselves from both pain and pleasure in order to prepare for whatever life throws our way.
POINT #3: A Lasting Perspective
Throughout your whole Core 4, knowing that "this won't last" is a good mentality to get into because it leaves openings for new perspective.
Shift the perspective that this will not last in pleasure especially because nothing good will last forever.
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
Where in your Core 4 (body, being, balance and business) have you become attached to pain or pleasure and you're now stuck in a rut?
CHALLENGE OF THE DAY:
Tell a different story. Write down what you can do today that will open a new perspective in asking the right question about what will happen after either the pleasure or pain is gone.
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"First, you have to recognize that there's pain and accept that. But then you need to switch your mind that this will pass. Soon it will be over and you will not feel this pain anymore. Things slowly get better; the pain doesn't go away, but you get to a place that the mind starts switching its focus from the pain to the statement 'this will not last' so it gives you a break to see it through."
