Today we want to talk about how to be a great worker. Your coworkers are the people who we have to work with, be it in the office or virtually as in work from home. These are the people you will have to deal with day in and day out for the majority of your day. Maybe your work consists of working on group projects via volunteering or being volu-told. Knowing how to be a great coworker will not only alleviate the tension of the “team” but also lower your stress level. You want to be seen as someone people want to work with and see your career flourish in your industry. Learning how to be a great coworker will help you build the work environment you want be it in your current position or future roles.

I am a Strong Black Woman! We hear this phrase a lot. It’s usually said with a level of pride, but sometimes there is an undertone of exhaustion. We tend to wear this phrase like a badge of honor, but in reality it’s becoming another trope. The severely independent, stressed and stretched woman who powers through all things while willingly sacrificing her well being and refusing help for fear of appearing weak. Today we’re talking about the impact of the strong black woman image on us at work and in life.
