Fun With Horror - Wholesome Horror Movie Reviews

"I need me gold!"

Scotty is once again joined by Colby of Colby Does Horror and the House of Ghouls podcast. Together, they go looking for a four-leaf clover as they discuss LEPRECHAUN. This is the first installment on a full series of episodes discussing the LEPRECHAUN series, which they will be continuing on the Fun With Horror Patreon in the near future!

LEPRECHAUN was written and directed by Mark Jones. It stars Jennifer Aniston in her feature debut as a young girl who moves to an old house in the country with her dad. Little do they know that a Leprechaun has been trapped in a crate in the basement for the past 10 years. And when he gets out, he'll stop at nothing to get his gold back!

"I can't lie to you about your chances, but you have my sympathies."

In this episode, Andrew and Scotty try to break into a space station in orbit above a mining planet and come face to face with a xenomorph, as they discuss Fede Alvarez's "Alien: Romulus". They also talk about the wildfires raging through Los Angeles, read some more listener comments and reviews, "I Saw the TV Glow", and stay tuned until the end of the episode to hear what Andrew has chosen for their next movie!

"Alien: Romulus" stars Cailee Spaeny and takes place after the events of "Alien". A group of young friends decide to escape off a mining planet by breaking into a space station and getting the materials they need to make the long journey to a better planet. Unfortunately, the space station is now the home of a species of creature that we've seen before.

As always, we'll be looking back at the horror movies we saw in 2024, talking about which ones we enjoyed the most. And then, after going over our resolutions from last year to see which ones we kept, we'll discuss our resolutions for 2025, meaning which movies from this year and next that we hope to watch.

As we head into our fifth year, thank you, everyone, for listening to Fun With Horror. We truly appreciate each and every listen to we receive. We hope we've given you all some enjoyment, and of course we hope to keep you entertained in the future. Lastly, if you haven't, be sure to leave us a rating and review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. Happy Friday the 13th!

In another very special bonus episode, Scotty is joined by good friends Ross, Sam, and Bryan from Chuddle the Pod. Together, they take a trip to a halfway house called Pinehearst to discuss the fifth entry in the "Friday the 13th" series. We also talk about the Chuddlemen's favorite entries in the series, some of the other movies in the series, our favorite characters from this entry, and how off-the-rails production of this film was.

"Friday the 13, Part V: A New Beginning" was directed by Danny Steinmann. Five years after the events of the last movie, Tommy Jarvis is sent to a halfway house to help deal with his trauma. It isn't long before people around him start to get killed off. Is Jason Voorhees back? Is someone else behind the mask this time? Find out in this new start to the franchise.
